Welcome to the Hot Room

What is Infrared Heat?

Infrared heat is a gentle, radiant warmth that heats your body directly—rather than just the air around you. Think of it like the warmth of the sun on your skin, but without harmful UV rays. Unlike traditional forced-air systems, infrared creates an even, soothing heat that penetrates muscles and joints, helping the body warm from the inside out.

Benefits to Your Yoga Practice
  • Detoxification: Sweating at a cellular level helps the body release toxins

  • Improved circulation: Blood flow increases, delivering oxygen and nutrients to muscles

  • Muscle + joint relief: Infrared heat eases stiffness, tension, and chronic aches.

  • Skin health: The deep heat promotes circulation that supports clearer, glowing skin

  • Stress release: The gentle, even warmth relaxes the nervous system and supports mental calm.

Meet Tessa Alves

SINGER. DANCER. ACTRESS. BLACK BELT. SCUBA DIVER. YOGA TEACHER

Hi, I’m Tessa—a former Broadway performer with 12 years on the New York City stage who traded the spotlight for the yoga mat. My classes blend discipline with play, strength with softness, and a healthy dose of humour.

The Downfall & The Turning Point

Life in the "Big Apple" was a dream, but performing professionally for over 20 years pushed my body to its absolute limits and beyond. My health was on a downward spiral, yet my job demanded I stay relentlessly active. I tried everything to keep up: martial arts, CrossFit, cycling, massage, acupuncture, reiki…all of it! Nothing gave me what I needed until I found yoga.

When I lost my mother during Covid, my heart was broken and my body went along with it. I was diagnosed with hashimotos, had pain all over my body, and found it hard to get out of bed. Needless to say I had some reevaluating to do. I had to dig deep and get very clear on what I valued. My health, family, art, and a tremendous amount of laughter. I needed to step away from the intensity of NYC and create a new path that supported my health needs.

I found my way into a heated 26&2 class and it changed EVERYTHING. My chronic pain began to subside, and my mind became stronger. I was starting to feel myself again. I had to learn how to slow down, find balance, and finally breathe. Yoga became my sanctuary, giving me the community and grounding I desperately needed to heal.

The Vision

That raw journey sparked a dream: to build a space where we can reconnect, recharge, and heal together. Whether you are prepping for motherhood, the stage, or simply surviving everyday life, this boutique studio is our place to laugh, sing, and say YES to what feels good.

Welcome to the "Heck YES!!!" in your day.
